Wood sculpture exhibition of Asterios Gekas
The subject of the exhibition is "Procession". It is based on the Greek Orthodox Tradition.

18th MARCH
Arrival of a piece of the Holy Cross from the Holy Monastery of Panagia Soumela
One of the biggest parts of the Holy Cross is in the Holy Monastery of Panagia Soumela in Vermio. It is a present of the Manouil the 3rd, the Great Komninos, the Emperor of Trapezounta, to the Holy Monastery of Panagia Soumela in Trapezounta of Minor Asia.

Prelatic Holy Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of St. Nicolas in Volos, and commemoration of the Bishops of the Diocese, from the day of its creation up to our days.

Honour to the dead Bishops of the Holy Diocese of Demetrias
Speech: Dimitrios Tsilividis, Doctor-historian, with subject: "The history of the Diocese of Demetrias through the succesion of its Bishops"
Musical program: The Apollonios Chorus of the Municipality of N. Ionia will sing the "Hymn to Freedom" which is written by Dionisios Solomos. The music is from Nikolaos Mantzaros

The National Affairs in the 21st century

a) Athanasios Karathanasis, Professor of Theology at the University of Thessaloniki, with subject: "The Macedonian problem".
b) George Pavlos, professor in the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Thrace, with subject: "The Thracian problem".
c) George Kouvelas, lawyer, honorary member of the National Student Union of Cypriots of Thessaloniki, with subject: "The Cyprus problem".
