Registration form To the women in the CEC Central Committee
And the National Coordinators of the EFECW The understanding among churches has not always been easy over the past years, especially between the orthodox and the non-orthodox constituency of the ecumenical movement. As women we share in the responsibility for the further development of the ecumenical dialogues. What divides us shall be named, but we shall also find out what we have in common. Taking up this challenge, the CEC Women's Desk and the Ecumenical Forum of European Christian Women EFECW are organising a consultation on
To be held in Volos/Greece from June 8-13, 2004. The Conference of European Churches, with a newly elected Central Committee, is moving into a new phase of its commitment for ecumenism in Europe. Sixteen of its members are women. The consultation will give the chance to them to get acquainted with a part of CEC's work and with the confessional dimensions of the European churches. It will deepen the basis of our co-operation, together with an associated body as EFECW, through the development of common perspectives and visions. The choice of the venue has been taken in the interest of making possible an exchange with the concrete living context of an orthodox church. We are grateful for the invitation extended to us by the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias. It is the home of the only orthodox woman in the CEC Central Committee. We are looking forward to welcome you to this consultation which will bring together women from the broad spectrum of confessions and traditions, including the catholic. Please use the attached registration form for your application. For our planning, it would be helpful to have your response by March 15, 2004. Warm greetings, Eva-Sibylle Vogel-Mfato, Katerina Karkala-Zorba (Executive Secretary, CEC Women's Desk) (Co-President EFECW) DAILY PROGRAM
