Athens Airport - Athens Bus Depot for Volos: Purchase a 3 Euro multi-purpose ticket from the airport. It is valid for 24 hours for all journeys on any public transport in Athens. Take the bus to Syntagma Square. From Syntagma take the Metro to Attiki. Exit at Liosion Street and take any passing bus to the KTEL depot. Disembark at the 2nd stop. The entire trip takes about 2 hours (depending on traffic from the airport to Syntagma Square).

If you choose to go by taxi, it will cost about 18 Euros and takes between 1 and 1.5 hours.
